Earthmark Welcomes New Investment to Support Its Next Stage of Growth
Written by Jack Linnett (Co-founder & CEO)

Earthmark exists to make corporate environmental performance easier to find, understand and compare. We are building AI-powered benchmarking and sustainability data for decision-making — and we are pleased to announce two important additions to our investor base.
Gail Kent has joined as a new investor, while Mal Minhas has reinvested in the business.
Gail Kent: policy, trust and responsible technology
Gail is a Government Affairs and Public Policy Director at Google, working across Search, News and Gemini. Her career sits at the intersection of technology, regulation, safety and public policy.
At Meta, Gail held senior global policy roles, including leading policy for Messenger and Instagram DMs, covering issues such as encryption, connectivity, privacy, security and online safety. Before joining Meta, she spent 17 years in the UK’s National Crime Agency and later led Facebook’s work on law enforcement and surveillance policy.
That experience matters for Earthmark. As companies face growing scrutiny of environmental claims, data quality and disclosure, credibility is not optional. Gail’s perspective will help us build products that are useful, transparent and trusted.
Mal Minhas: product, platform and scale
Mal is a technology and product leader with experience across consumer platforms, marketplaces, engineering and AI-enabled products. He has been Chief Product and Technology Officer at Gumtree, CTO at Checkatrade, VP Innovation at Depop and has held senior roles at Amazon and other technology businesses.
His expertise spans technology strategy, APIs, data pipelines, cloud architecture, engineering leadership and product innovation for sustainable growth. That is directly relevant to Earthmark’s challenge: turning complex corporate environmental data into clear, reliable and commercially useful insight.
Mal’s reinvestment is a strong vote of confidence in Earthmark’s direction, team and opportunity.
What this means for Earthmark
Gail and Mal bring complementary strengths:
Investor | Background | Value to Earthmark |
|---|---|---|
Gail Kent | Technology policy, trust and safety, privacy, government affairs | Regulatory awareness, credibility, responsible AI and data governance |
Mal Minhas | Product, engineering, platforms, marketplaces and sustainable technology | Product strategy, technical scale, data architecture and B2B growth |
We are grateful for their belief in Earthmark and excited to build with them.
